Preparing to Strengthen Fast Bowling, BCCI Entrusts This Veteran with a Major Responsibility
The BCCI has appointed former fast bowler Zaheer Khan to conduct a special fast bowling camp to strengthen the Indian cricket team's pace attack.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has taken a significant step to enhance the fast bowling strength of its team by appointing former fast bowler Zaheer Khan to lead a special fast bowling camp at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru. This camp is scheduled to run from February 28 to March 2 and will feature young fast bowlers selected from various state associations. This initiative comes after the completion of Australian coach Troy Cooley's four-year contract in December, leaving the fast bowling coach position at COE vacant. While applications have been invited for a permanent appointment, the BCCI has yet to secure a full-time coach, making Zaheer Khanโs role a temporary but critical one during this transition.
