Herta Rajas has made her mark at the junior and U-23 World Championships in Nordic skiing held in Lillehammer, Norway, by reaching the finals of the women's freestyle sprint. At just 18 years old, Rajas showcased her remarkable talent by successfully advancing from the heats to the quarter-finals. She was one of three Estonian skiers in the top 30, alongside Gerda Kivil and Toni Andree Saarepuu, each demonstrating strong performances in their respective heats.

In the quarter-finals, Rajas excelled, winning her heat and recording the fastest time overall, demonstrating her ability to compete at an elite level. Her teammate Kivil, unfortunately, trailed behind in her heat, finishing in fifth place and missing out on advancement. Rajas continued her impressive streak into the semi-finals, finishing strong in second place, just 0.27 seconds behind Austria's Heidi Bucher, which secured her a spot in the finals.
