A new proposal from the Confederation of Finnish Industries: Security of Supply as Finland's export spearhead

The Confederation of Finnish Industries proposes that security of supply becomes a new growth area for exports in Finland.

The Confederation of Finnish Industries (EK) has put forward a proposal to develop security of supply into a significant export growth area for Finland. This initiative aims to consolidate Finland's commercial expertise in crisis resilience and security of supply, building on the country's emerging global reputation in these areas, significantly heightened by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. EK believes that external interest in Finland's approaches to comprehensive security and the practical solutions developed within the country can be leveraged for export potential.

Under the leadership of EK's CEO Jyri Häkämies, the new service called Resilience Center Finland (RCF) is set to commence operations on Monday. Häkämies emphasizes that Finland is currently in a unique position where its knowledge in crisis resilience can be transformed into large-scale export operations. The goal is to unify the fragmented commercial offers related to comprehensive security, thus making Finland's expertise visible and accessible to potential international clients.

This initiative not only highlights Finland's innovative models for security but also seeks to align the country's strengths in crisis preparedness with global market needs. As the international landscape increasingly prioritizes security and resilience, Finland's strategic move to position itself as a leader in this domain may have wide-reaching implications for its economy, potentially enhancing its export revenues and international collaborations in the field of security and crisis management.
