On Monday, Salvador hosted the graduation ceremony for the first class of female combatants of the Brazilian Army, marking a significant milestone in military inclusion. The event recognized 57 young women who have now officially become recruit soldiers. This initiative comes after the voluntary military enlistment for women was launched on January 1, 2025, and was available until June 30 of the same year, reflecting a progressive step towards gender equality in the armed forces.
