On Monday, chaos erupted in Goroul, Vaishali district, Bihar, when a local youth attempting to elope with his girlfriend was intercepted by villagers. The couple was riding a motorcycle when the girl's family discovered their whereabouts and gave chase, ultimately cornering them near the Goroul Chowk overbridge. As tensions escalated, the situation intensified with increasing numbers of villagers gathering, leading to an altercation where the young man was physically assaulted.

Eyewitnesses reported that the initially peaceful pursuit turned chaotic as bystanders became involved, prompting a vicious beating of the young man, identified as Amit Kumar.
