Continuous Attacks from Israel and America... Where is Iran Launching Drones From?

Iran's military, particularly the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has established numerous underground bases for missile and drone storage to protect against air strikes.

Iran has invested significantly in creating underground bases, referred to as missile cities, particularly by its military, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), over the years. These bases are strategically located deep within mountains and soil, enabling protection from aerial assaults. The Iranian military claims that these facilities, which include storage for drones like the Shahed-136, ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and other armaments, are spread throughout the country and can reach depths of up to 500 meters. However, the precise numbers and locations of these bases remain classified.

The Iranian authorities have showcased some of these underground sites on state television, revealing several known locations to bolster national pride and demonstrate military capacity. Among them is a significant UAV (drone) base situated in Shiraz, Fars Province, which houses drones like the Shahed and was highlighted by Israel in a video earlier this year. Another notable site is in Khorramabad, Lorestan Province, suggested to have the largest concentration of these underground facilities, indicating the extensive military capabilities Iran possesses.

Despite recent military operations, such as the Operation Epic Fury targeting these bases, many have remained intact, reinforcing Iran's commitment to maintaining its defense mechanisms. The ongoing tension in the region and recent military aggressions from Israel and the United States raise questions about the effectiveness of these operations and the broader implications for regional stability as Iran continues to enhance its military infrastructure in secrecy.
