The Union of Greek Shipowners has announced that it will be offering more than 100 scholarships for the academic year 2026-2027, continuing its long-standing commitment to educational support in Greece. This initiative is part of the 'SYN-ENOSIS for Education' scholarship program, which has been expanding yearly to provide assistance to students pursuing postgraduate studies across various fields and countries.
Last year, the Union provided a total of 130 scholarships to students from 21 regions in Greece, enabling them to study in ten scientific disciplines at 49 universities in Greece and abroad. This demonstrates the organization’s proactive role in supporting young individuals and their families as they strive towards higher education and professional excellence.
Additionally, one of the notable offerings for the upcoming academic year includes a special scholarship named 'Excellence,' which will be awarded to a candidate who has demonstrated outstanding academic performance. Such initiatives reflect the ongoing collaboration between the shipping industry and Greek society, emphasizing their shared commitment to fostering the next generation of leaders and professionals in various fields.
