From B2 Bombers to Reaper Drones... These 23 Weapons Have Launched a Major Attack on Iran by the US
The US launched a significant attack on Iran in the first 24 hours of Operation Epic Fury, utilizing over 23 types of advanced weapon systems.
In the initial phase of Operation Epic Fury, the United States executed a large-scale assault on Iran, utilizing its advanced military technology. According to a graphic released by CENTCOM (US Central Command), the strike involved more than 23 different types of weapons targeting over 1,000 locations across Iran, including ballistic missile sites, air defense systems, navy vessels, command centers, and bases of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). This demonstrates the military might and strategic capabilities of the US as tensions continue to rise in the region.
Among the notable weapons used in this operation were the B2 stealth bomber and LUCAS, a low-cost unmanned combat aerial system (drone). The B2 stealth bomber, recognized for its advanced design that allows it to evade radar detection, successfully dropped 2000-pound precision bombs on Iran's underground missile sites. The LUCAS drone, which was deployed for the first time in combat, is seen as an economical solution that provides precision strikes similar to Iran's Shahid-136 drones, showcasing a shift in warfare approaches.
This coordinated attack not only underscores the US's commitment to countering perceived threats from Iran but also indicates a broader coalition effort, with potential involvement from allies such as Israel, Germany, the UK, and France. The implications of this military action could further escalate regional tensions and provoke responses from Iran, leading to an uncertain future in the already volatile geopolitical climate of the Middle East.
