The US Embassy in Kuwait urges not to visit, a column of smoke is visible above it

The US Embassy in Kuwait has issued a warning against visiting due to threats of drone and missile attacks, following recent Iranian strikes in the region.

The US Embassy in Kuwait has advised against visiting the embassy and urged people to hide in their residences in the lowest possible level away from windows due to the ongoing threat of drone and missile attacks linked to the recent escalation in tensions following Iran's retaliatory strikes. The embassy staff are sheltering in place, as indicated by the statement.

On Monday, a column of black smoke was observed above the US Embassy in Kuwait after a new series of Iranian attacks, which began on Saturday in response to US and Israeli strikes that resulted in the deaths of several Iranian leaders. While the local population had been alerted to potential dangers by sirens, there were no immediate reports of damage to the embassy itself.

Alongside this, Kuwait's Ministry of Interior reported intercepting drones headed toward the country, suggesting an ongoing security concern in the oil-rich region. Furthermore, the Kuwaiti Health Ministry confirmed that during the Iranian attacks, one person was killed and 32 were injured, highlighting the severe impact of these escalating hostilities in the region.
