On the evening of 1 March, Russian forces launched an assault on Ukraine using 94 drones, including models like Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas. Ukrainian air defence systems demonstrated an impressive response, managing to down 84 of these UAVs, which indicates significant effectiveness in the face of ongoing challenges. Despite the high interception rate, the Ukrainian military remains vigilant as 10 UAVs successfully struck four locations, revealing the ongoing threat posed by drone warfare in the conflict.

The majority of the intercepted drones were Shahed loitering munitions, which have been utilized extensively in attacks against Ukraine.
