Oil prices rise sharply after the attack on Iran
Oil prices surged significantly following a military attack on Iran, with Brent crude increasing by 6.5%.
Following a military offensive by the United States and Israel against Iran, oil prices have experienced a significant spike, with Brent crude rising by 6.5% to surpass $76 per barrel, and WTI increasing by 6.1%. Analysts are forecasting that prices could reach around $90 per barrel in the near future. The attack has heightened concerns regarding the Strait of Hormuz, a critical maritime route through which approximately 20% of the world's oil is transported. Although the strait remains open for navigation, Iran's Revolutionary Guard has warned that maritime transit in the area is no longer secure, prompting oil tankers to begin avoiding it.
