Residents of Arab countries under attack hear alarms, but have nowhere to flee
Arab nations facing attacks from Iran are grappling with inadequate defenses and the absence of shelters for civilians.
Arab countries that have attempted to maintain a balanced foreign policy to avoid confrontation with Iran find themselves in the geopolitical crosshairs since the escalation began. These nations are engaged in efforts to fend off Iranian missile and drone attacks; however, the U.S. defense systems deployed in the region are not providing sufficient protection. Reports from the UAE's Ministry of Defense indicated that three civilians were killed and 58 injured during the assaults, adding to the casualty figures in Kuwait and Oman. Alarm sirens have become a haunting soundtrack for residents across Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia, all of whom share the alarming reality of lacking bomb shelters.
