A 94-year-old man was rescued in Carmo de Minas, Minas Gerais, after he managed to leave his nursing home without anyone noticing him. He ended up trapped between a slope and a construction wall for several hours before being discovered. The fire department received a call about a person who had fallen into a hole approximately two meters deep and quickly dispatched a team to the scene. Upon arrival, the firefighters found the elderly man lying on his side, trapped and positioned between the slope and the wall. They used ground rescue techniques to carefully remove earth around him to alleviate pressure and ensure his safety before extracting him from the precarious situation. Fortunately, the man was rescued safely and without serious injuries. Reports from local residents indicated that the elderly man had left the nursing home around 8 AM and that his absence went unnoticed until the rescue. This incident raises concerns about the security measures in place at nursing homes and the need for greater vigilance to ensure the safety of vulnerable residents, especially those who are elderly and may have diminished awareness of their surroundings.
