Finnish politician Hjallis Harkimo has shared a photo from his lens surgery, expressing relief and satisfaction post-procedure.
Hjallis Harkimo, a 72-year-old Finnish politician, recently underwent lens surgery to correct his vision. Frustrated with the constant search for his glasses, Harkimo took to Instagram to share his experience and the results of the surgery. He admitted to feeling nervous beforehand, but he described the procedure as pain-free and lasting less than an hour. He expressed his delight at being able to see clearly afterwards, emphasizing the significant improvement in his vision.
In his Instagram post, Harkimo shared several pictures taken during the surgery, showing him on the operating table with the surgeon examining his eyes. The procedure, known as lens surgery or presbyopia surgery, aims to correct age-related vision problems, thus reducing the need for glasses. The clinic where he had the operation, Eira Hospital, explained that the patient's natural lens is either replaced with a multifocal lens or another type, allowing for improved vision at various distances.

His positive outlook post-surgery also adds a personal touch to a public figure's health journey, making it relatable to everyday individuals.
