A nine-month-old baby died after the family's vehicle overturned in Morro Grande, Santa Catarina, with the child not secured in a seatbelt.

A tragic accident occurred in Morro Grande, Santa Catarina, where a nine-month-old baby lost their life after the family's car flipped over on Saturday. According to the Civil Police's Aeropolitical Service (Saer), the child was in a car seat but was not wearing a seatbelt, resulting in cranial trauma after the incident. After the accident, local residents rushed to assist and transported the child to a nearby health post, where emergency services were called in to airlift the baby to Hospital São José de Criciúma, a facility known for its neurosurgery specialty. Despite the medical efforts, the infant succumbed to the injuries during treatment.
