Protesters hold demonstration against Lula and STF ministers on Avenida Paulista

Pro-Bolsonaro protesters gathered in São Paulo's Avenida Paulista to voice their opposition against President Lula and the Supreme Court decisions.

On Sunday, a large gathering of pro-Bolsonaro protesters took place on Avenida Paulista in São Paulo, titled "Acorda Brasil". The protest, which commenced at 2 PM near the Museu de Arte de São Paulo (Masp), attracted notable political figures including Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, PL President Valdemar Costa Neto, and various federal deputies and governors from Brazilian states.

During the demonstration, participants expressed their discontent towards President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva as well as the decisions of the Brazilian Supreme Court (STF). Prominent slogans were heard, advocating for the dismissal of Lula, as well as demands for amnesty and the freedom of former president Jair Bolsonaro. Protesters carried Brazilian flags alongside those of the United States and Israel, indicating a broader political alignment and support for certain international allies.

The gathering reflects ongoing tensions in Brazilian politics, particularly the polarized sentiments surrounding Lula's presidency and the judicial system. The presence of political leaders at the protest may signal heightened political mobilization among right-wing factions in the country, potentially impacting future political developments as the nation navigates through its current governance challenges.
