On Saturday evening in the Dhumanikpur village of Badalpur area, Greater Noida, an 18-year-old student named Devkaran Rao committed suicide by shooting himself with his father's licensed pistol. This tragic incident created chaos within the family, who rushed him to a private hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The local police, along with a field unit, quickly arrived at the scene to gather evidence, and the body was sent for autopsy while an investigation into the case began.
Devkaran, a resident of Dhumanikpur, was identified as studying in the 12th grade at DPS school in Dadri. His family consists of his parents and a younger brother who is reportedly disabled. His father is a retired army personnel and is currently engaged in farming and property dealing in the village. The family is grappling with the sudden loss of their son, highlighting the psychological impact that young students can face amidst academic and personal pressures.
