The body of 47-year-old Raimundo da Silva dos Santos was found after he was pushed into the water at a port in Manacapuru, Brazil.

The body of 47-year-old Raimundo da Silva dos Santos was discovered on Saturday after he went missing when he was pushed into the water at a port in Manacapuru, located in the Metropolitan Region of Manaus. Rescue efforts were conducted by scuba diving teams from the Fire Brigade, who are also engaged in searching for victims of the wreck of the boat Lima de Abreu XV at the Encontro das Águas. Raimundo had disappeared early Thursday morning while working at the port, loading goods onto floating platforms.

Initially, the Civil Police described Raimundo's fall as accidental. However, an analysis of security camera footage indicated a deliberate act, leading the authorities to investigate the case as a homicide. The footage reveals Raimundo walking in the external area of a floating platform when a man from a group of individuals intervenes and pushes him from behind, resulting in Raimundo falling into the water and vanishing.

The identification of the body was carried out by the Legal Medical Institute (IML) through forensic examination. This incident highlights serious concerns regarding safety and violence at the workplaces along the port areas, calling for a thorough investigation and accountability for those involved.
