Brazilians partner with Korean artists and enter the world of K-pop

Brazilian artists are increasingly collaborating with South Korean pop musicians, marking a significant entry into the K-pop scene.

Brazil has officially entered the world of K-pop, with a growing number of local artists partnering with popular South Korean musicians. This movement reached a peak with the recent double release featuring Brazilian singer Pabllo Vittar, who has collaborated for the second time with the K-pop girl group Nmixx, and another collaboration with the boy band 82Major. The collaborations showcase not only the blending of musical styles but also highlight the cross-cultural partnerships emerging between Brazil and South Korea.

One of the most notable collaborations is between Pabllo Vittar, a well-known K-pop fan, and the girl group Nmixx, which is signed under one of the leading agencies in the industry, JYP Entertainment. The six members of Nmixx traveled to São Paulo to participate in Pabllo's Carnival block party and to film the music video for their new single 'Tic Tic,' which includes lyrics in Portuguese. This single was officially released on Thursday, and its music video is set to debut on March 23, further cementing the collaboration's significance.

Pabllo’s previous collaboration with Nmixx included a track titled 'Mexe,' released in August of the previous year, showcasing a fusion of Brazilian funk rhythms with a K-pop flair. Pabllo even traveled to South Korea to record this song, which features lyrics in both Portuguese and English. The fruitful partnerships between Brazilian and Korean artists are fueled by mutual admiration, signaling a vibrant interchange of cultural and musical influences between the two countries.
