Jang Dong-hyuk 'Officetels are not selling well'…Jung Cheong-rae 'It must be great to have many to sell'
The political battle over housing dispositions is intensifying in South Korea as opposition leaders criticize ruling party representatives regarding their property holdings.
The political discourse in South Korea has taken an interesting turn following the sale of the apartment by President Lee Jae-myung in Bundang, with both the ruling and opposition parties embroiled in a heated debate over the disposition of housing assets. Jang Dong-hyuk, representing the People Power Party, lamented on social media that his officetel, worth less than 200 million won, has failed to attract buyers, implying that unlike the President's highly coveted property, his holdings are not desirable. In response, Jung Cheong-rae of the Democratic Party sarcastically remarked that Jang should consider his many properties a blessing.
