Rain and storms will mark the day on Sunday, March 1, on the Coast
Rainfall and storms are expected in the interior of the Coast of Ecuador, with isolated showers in the Sierra and increased day temperatures in the north.
On Sunday, March 1, Ecuador's Coast is set to experience significant rainfall and thunderstorms. The Sierra region will see isolated showers, while in the Amazon, rainfall is anticipated in the foothills, particularly in the southern areas, amidst a general rise in daytime temperatures in the northern parts of the country.
Meteorological Warning No. 14 is currently active due to the persistence of rain, which has been ongoing since the afternoon of February 26 and will last until March 2, especially impacting the coastal region. This warning also indicates that some parts of the Sierra will witness specific heavy precipitation, highlighting the potential for localized impacts on communities.
Temperature forecasts predict that the Coast will see highs ranging from 23°C to 33°C, while the Sierra region will have a much cooler range of 6°C to 24°C. In the Amazon, temperatures will vary between 18°C and 34°C, and the Insular region will experience temperatures from 24°C to 32°C. Furthermore, UV radiation levels are expected to be high to extremely high, indicating the need for caution while outdoors.
