On February 28th, at approximately 10:30 PM, a serious head-on collision occurred involving two passenger cars on National Route 7 in Kawajiri, Misato Town, Akita Prefecture. The collision involved a 51-year-old nurse from Noshiro City and a 41-year-old female employee of a local organization. Tragically, the nurse's 8-year-old daughter, who was seated in the passenger seat, sustained a fatal cervical spine injury as a result of the accident. The nurse herself suffered minor injuries, while the other driver also experienced bruises, and her 5-year-old son, who was in the passenger seat, was also lightly injured.
