Porter dies after losing control of motorcycle on highway in Piauí

A 39-year-old man tragically died after losing control of his motorcycle on a highway in Piauí, Brazil.

In a tragic incident on Saturday morning, Ricardo Araújo da Silva, a 39-year-old porter at the Regional Hospital of Campo Maior, lost his life after losing control of his motorcycle on the PI-215 highway in Piauí. The accident occurred around 11:50 AM when Ricardo was riding with a passenger. As he navigated a curve, he lost control and fell off the motorcycle, resulting in fatal injuries while the passenger sustained injuries but survived.

The local police, specifically the 15th Battalion of the Military Police of Piauí, responded promptly to the scene. Unfortunately, despite the arrival of the Emergency Mobile Care Service (Samu), Ricardo was declared dead at the scene. The injured passenger was transported to the hospital for treatment. Following the incident, the area was secured by the police until the Department of Forensic Police (Depoc) arrived to collect Ricardo's body.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident are reported to be underway, with authorities examining the factors that contributed to the loss of control of the motorcycle.
