'I have done the work...', retired engineer bludgeons wife to death with a hammer
A retired engineer in Surat, India, brutally murdered his wife during a domestic dispute, highlighting severe issues within their relationship.
In a shocking incident from the Adajan area of Surat City, a domestic dispute escalated to fatal violence when 65-year-old retired civil engineer Dinesh Patel killed his 54-year-old wife, Tripti Patel, on February 27. The couple had reportedly been having frequent arguments over trivial matters, but the altercation on that day resulted in Dinesh attacking Tripti with a hammer, striking her on the head and forehead multiple times, leading to her immediate death at the scene.
Following the murder, Dinesh Patel contacted their son, Krihnal Patel, stating, 'I have done my work.' When Krihnal sought clarification, his father abruptly hung up the phone. Concerned for his mother’s safety, Krihnal rushed home only to find that Dinesh had locked the house and fled. The police quickly apprehended Dinesh, emphasizing the urgency and serious nature of domestic violence in such circumstances.
