Real Estate: The 9 Issues Concerning Owners

The Panhellenic Federation of Property Owners is starting a tour across Greece to highlight key issues that concern property owners.

The Panhellenic Federation of Property Owners (POMIDA) is embarking on an informative tour across various cities in Greece to discuss and showcase important matters affecting property owners. This initiative aims to bring awareness and clarity to the pressing concerns that owners face in the current real estate landscape.

Among the primary issues being highlighted are recent changes in income and capital tax laws governing properties, new regulations regarding residential and commercial leases, and the introduction of the upcoming Property and Management Registry (M.I.D.A.) by the Greek Tax Authority (AADE). Additionally, the federation will address mandatory energy upgrades for buildings, the necessity for elevator declarations, and various legal matters such as the certificate of solvency and rental eviction orders due to lease expirations.

Other key topics include the newly introduced Local Development Fee (TTA) set to be three times the previously established tax, urban planning restrictions on construction and short-term rentals, regulations regarding inheritance contracts and bequests, as well as the introduction of a Home Insurance Program for POMIDA members, which offers a 20% discount on the property tax (ENFIA). Through collaboration with local branches and associated organizations, POMIDA seeks to engage owners and promote understanding of these critical issues.
