This victory marks Aicher's emergence as a formidable competitor in the current ski season, as she becomes the first female athlete of the season to claim multiple giant slalom wins.

In this competition, Aicher demonstrated exceptional speed in the initial sectors, dominating the slopes and leading her competitors, including Switzerland's Corinne Suter, who finished third, 0.98 seconds behind her.
