From Toninelli to Casaleggio's deputy, the early grillini vote Yes
The early members of the M5S political party are rallying in support of the referendum concerning the Nordio reform, aiming to introduce significant changes to the career paths of judiciary members in Italy.
The early supporters of the M5S (Movimento 5 Stelle) political party are backing a Yes vote in the upcoming referendum regarding the Nordio reform, which proposes a separation of careers between public prosecutors and judges, aiming to dilute the power held by current factions through a lottery system for the Consiglio Superiore della Magistratura (CSM) and establish a High Disciplinary Court. A recent survey by Noto, published by Il Giornale, indicates that 25% of M5S voters are in favor of this reform, which has raised concerns for the current leader of the party, Giuseppe Conte, who appears to be yielding to the influential perspectives of figures like Marco Travaglio. Notably, Danilo Toninelli, former minister in Conte's first government, has recently expressed his support for the Yes campaign in a radio interview, emphasizing the political dimensions of this fight.
