Ethiopia and Djibouti have recently entered into an agreement to bolster their cooperative efforts concerning the Doraleh Port, which serves as a critical maritime outlet for Ethiopia. The discussions took place on February 26, involving Ethiopia's Ambassador to Djibouti, Legesse Tulu, and Abdullahi Adaweh, the CEO of Doraleh Port. Ambassador Tulu emphasized the strategic importance of Ethiopia's relationship with Djibouti, expressing appreciation for Djibouti's commitment to elevating their cooperative relationship to new heights.

During the talks, significant emphasis was placed on the operational aspects of the port. Ambassador Tulu pointed out that the port administration has successfully streamlined its operations, fostering an environment conducive to achieving critical performance indicators crucial for the efficiency of services provided for Ethiopian goods.
