US-Israel Attack on Iran: Strike on Khamenei's Office in Tehran

Powerful explosions reported in Tehran and other Iranian cities as military targets, including the office of the Supreme Leader and other facilities, come under attack.

According to BBC Persian, significant explosions were heard in Tehran and several other cities in Iran. Reports indicate that strikes have targeted critical sites including the office of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and the presidential palace in the capital. The military facilities in locations such as Kermanshah, Qom, Isfahan, Tabriz, and Karaj, along with naval infrastructures in the Kenarak region of southern Iran, were also targeted. Videos from Kamiyaran, a city in the Kurdish area, show bombardments on Revolutionary Guard Corps bases, marking a significant escalation in military action.

Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces had urged Iranian citizens to evacuate areas near military installations, indicating the precision of this military operation. Imagery from Tehran also shows an attack on a residence in the Narmak district, which is where former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad reportedly resides; details regarding any injuries remain unclear. The Iranian Interior Ministry has announced that security forces are on high alert as multiple hospitals across the area are reportedly preparing for potential casualties from the ongoing military actions.

This latest round of military strikes underscores the tense geopolitical landscape in the region, suggesting a coordinated effort between US and Israeli forces aimed at diminishing Iranian military capabilities. Such attacks not only aim to disrupt Iran's military infrastructure but also send a clear signal regarding the international community's stance on Iran's continued nuclear and military development, raising questions about the potential for further conflict in the region.
