Merseyside Police have begun an investigation into a sexual assault that occurred on a bus in Liverpool, where a young woman in her twenties was inappropriately touched. The incident took place on the 10A service traveling from Liverpool city center to St Helens at approximately 4:20 PM on January 15. After boarding, the victim reported that a man took a seat next to her and groped her repeatedly despite her protests. The suspect later moved upstairs on the bus after the victim asked him to stop.

The situation escalated when the distressed woman informed the bus driver of the incident. The driver responded by confronting the alleged perpetrator; however, he managed to escape as the bus halted on Prescot Road.
