Karina Milei and Adorni, in the agro-industrial hub of Gran Rosario
Karina Milei and Chief of Cabinet Manuel Adorni attended the inauguration of a new oilseed milling line at Louis Dreyfus Company's agro-industrial plant in Timbúes, Argentina.
On a significant day for Argentina's agro-industrial sector, Karina Milei, sister of the President and his secretary, along with Chief of Cabinet Manuel Adorni and Martín Menem, President of the Chamber of Deputies, attended the inauguration of a new oilseed milling line in Timbúes, located in the Gran Rosario region, which serves as the country's largest agro-industrial hub. The facility, owned by the Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), has expanded its capacity by adding an impressive 3,000 tons per day to process high-oil content seeds.
This inauguration is set against the backdrop of concurrent activities, notably the closing of bids for the dredging of the Paraná River ‘hidrovía,” aiming to enhance shipping capabilities to meet international demand. The efforts by LDC to invest in such infrastructure not only reflect the company’s commitment to the region but also underscore the strategic importance of the Gran Rosario area for Argentine agriculture and economy. It represents a critical step towards modernizing agricultural export capacities, which are essential for stabilizing the national economy and increasing foreign trade.
By boosting processing capacity and improving logistical conditions through dredging, the Argentine government aims to strengthen its position in global markets, especially given the increasing demand for agricultural products worldwide. This event symbolizes the collaboration between government and private entities in fostering the agro-industrial sector, focused on maximizing production while ensuring that the region continues to play a pivotal role in the nation’s economic landscape.
