Eleni Karamalegkou, a prominent figure in the field of Latin Philology and former Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA), has died, causing sorrow among her colleagues and students. The Deanery of the Faculty of Philosophy at EKPA expressed its grief in an announcement, highlighting Karamalegkou's exceptional character and her substantial contributions to the university. She was recognized as a pioneer in promoting international collaboration, particularly through partnerships with universities in the People's Republic of China, which facilitated the enrollment of Chinese students in Greek language courses since 2017.
