Plaza Guayarte ready for March with renovated shops and technology installed in concert area
The Plaza Guayarte is set to be reinaugurated in March after extensive renovations and technology upgrades.
The transformation of Plaza Guayarte is reaching its final stages, with plans for a grand reopening in March. This significant renovation project, managed by Parques EP, is progressing according to schedule and includes modernized areas and upgraded infrastructure, complete with an expanded commercial offering. With an investment of $1.1 million, the project has been executed in phases, the first of which involved the renovation of 17 container-style shops along Avenida Carlos Julio Arosemena.
The work carried out during the renovation has addressed critical issues such as water infiltration, interior finishes with gypsum board, improved lighting, and upgraded electrical and sanitary systems. Additionally, maintenance was performed on the flooring to enhance both functionality and aesthetics. The second phase focused on the rehabilitation of seven fountains in the linear park, involving the repair of cracks, replacement of tiles, maintenance of water features, and the addition of underwater lighting to improve the ambiance and safety of the area.
As the third stage of the project approaches completion, the overall aim is to create a vibrant and modern community space that not only serves the local population but also attracts visitors. By integrating technological advancements and improving existing facilities, Plaza Guayarte is poised to become a central hub for concerts and social gatherings in the region.
