After 10 days on the run, the driver who hit a motorcyclist stopped at a traffic light is arrested in MS

A driver who fled after hitting a stationary motorcyclist at a traffic light was arrested by police in Ribas do Rio Pardo, Brazil, after a 10-day manhunt.

On February 15, a motorcyclist named Milton Aparecido Gil da Silva was seriously injured when a speeding driver struck him while he was waiting at a traffic light in Ribas do Rio Pardo, MS. Despite the severe impact that threw him to the ground, the driver fled the scene without administering any aid to the victim. Following the incident, security camera footage helped the police identify both the vehicle and the driver responsible for the hit-and-run incident.

After ten days of search, police managed to apprehend the suspect, who was found at his home after a temporary arrest warrant was issued by the justice system. The arrested individual did not resist arrest and is now under investigation for attempted homicide due to the grave nature of the accident, which left the victim hospitalized and in critical condition. Milton is currently recovering in the Santa Casa de Campo Grande following the incident.
