Stellantis' 'legal dismantling' reaches 9,000 reused parts in 6 months
Stellantis has successfully dismantled approximately 600 vehicles in Brazil, recycling significant amounts of materials and making over 9,000 parts available for resale.
Stellantis, the automotive group that includes brands such as Fiat, Jeep, and Peugeot, has achieved a significant milestone at its vehicle dismantling center in Osasco, São Paulo, where it has dismantled around 600 cars in just six months of operation. This initiative marks the company’s first vehicle dismantling facility outside of Europe, focusing on sustainability and recycling as core tenets of its operations. In doing so, the group has successfully recycled an impressive 360 tons of materials, which include 334 tons of steel and aluminum, 26 tons of plastic, and 1.8 tons of copper from the vehicles.
