Heiða Guðný at Ljótarstöðum is delighted after the arrival of a new goat kid named Krummi geitungur.
Heiða Guðný Ásgeirsdóttir, a resident of Ljótarstöðum in Skaftártunga, is experiencing a joyful moment as she recently acquired a goat named Kída Sól, who has since given birth to a beautiful kid. The kid, affectionately named Krummi geitungur, arrives after Heiða had lost her previous goat in 2021, making this new addition especially significant for her. Heiða expresses her excitement, as this unexpected birth has brought her much happiness during her studies.
Currently, Heiða is living temporarily in Sveinungsvík, within the Þistilfirði area while pursuing her master's degree in social sciences at the University of Akureyri. Despite her relocation, she maintains a strong connection to her home in Skaftártunga. She also mentions her long-standing dedication to assisting farmers and their livestock, underscoring her commitment to agriculture and animal husbandry over the years.
This delightful event not only highlights Heiða’s personal joy but also reflects the deep-seated ties that Icelanders often have with their livestock and farming practices. As she continues her education and prepares for a future, the arrival of Krummi geitungur symbolizes continuity and new beginnings in Heiða's life, blending her academic pursuits with her rural roots.
