Latvian Civic Alliance Elects New Council

The Latvian Civic Alliance has elected a new council during its general meeting, establishing a new ethics council and setting priorities for civil society until 2026.

The Latvian Civic Alliance (LPA) has held a general meeting where new council members were elected. This event featured the appointment of representatives with extensive backgrounds in civil society and good governance, including notable figures like Roberts Alhimioniks from the Latvian Startups Association, Lolita Čigāne from the European Movement in Latvia, Elīna Karahristu from the Further Education Training Centre for Civil Society, and Sabīne Sīle from the Sustainability Fund.

In addition to the new council, the meeting also established the composition of the newly formed ethics council, intending to guide the principles and practices of the organization. The elections reflect LPA's commitment to strengthen civil society, which is underscored by setting priorities aimed at enhancing engagement and governance within this sector ahead of the next strategic term in 2026.
