Breaking: U.S. Central Command: The USS Frank Peterson Jr. conducted live-fire drills in the Arabian Sea
The U.S. Navy destroyer USS Frank Peterson Jr. has conducted live-fire drills in the Arabian Sea amid rising regional tensions and the deployment of F-22 fighters in Israel.
U.S. Central Command announced that the USS Frank Peterson Jr. carried out live-fire training exercises in the Arabian Sea, coinciding with the positioning of U.S. F-22 fighter jets at Ovda Airbase in southern Israel. According to Israeli media, satellite imagery revealed that 11 F-22 aircraft recently arrived at the base, with four being positioned on the runway alongside a C-17 military transport plane believed to have delivered additional equipment.
These military maneuvers come amid escalating regional tensions, with Israeli assessments suggesting that President Donald Trump may issue orders for a possible strike against Iran. In recent weeks, the U.S. has been transferring troops and military assets to the area, reflecting the increasing volatility in the region as diplomatic relations become strained.
Additionally, the U.S., China, and Germany have urged their nationals and staff in Israel to leave, while the UK has temporarily evacuated its personnel from Iran. The actions taken by these countries highlight the heightened security concerns that accompany the military activities, further underscoring the precarious situation in the Middle East.
