A 26-year-old man has been arrested in Tartu for a violent attack with a katana sword that occurred last year.

On May 4 of the previous year, a man attacked another individual in Tartu's Raadi Park using a katana-type sword and then fled the scene with the victim's mobile phone. The police initiated an investigation promptly after the incident, initially detaining a 22-year-old man suspected of being involved, but he was later released as he was not connected to the attack. After further investigation, law enforcement identified the actual perpetrator as a 26-year-old male named Bresovski, who was arrested for the dangerous crime commited.
