On Christmas Day, Anthony Allen, a 47-year-old burglar, was tracked by Kent Police to a residence in Stanhope, Kent, after he stole over £3,000 worth of valuables from the Olgun family's home in Boxley, Ashford. This peculiar case came to light when the Olgun family reviewed their CCTV footage and discovered the burglary, prompting them to report the crime to the police. The officers used technology to locate Allen after he apparently overlooked the connected AirPods that led them to his hiding place.
Upon tracking Allen, the police found him hiding in the attic of an adjacent house, showcasing a blend of poor tactics and lack of awareness on his part.
