ARBA launches a system to prevent the accumulation of credits in Gross Income tax

ARBA has introduced a new system aimed at preventing taxpayers from accumulating credits in the Gross Income tax, which adjusts tax rates based on each taxpayer's fiscal profile.

The Agency for Revenue of the Province of Buenos Aires (ARBA) launched a new regime called 'Risk 0, SAF 0' on Friday. This initiative is designed to prevent taxpayers, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and businesses, from accumulating credits in the Gross Income tax. The system will automatically adjust tax rates based on the fiscal behavior of each taxpayer, ensuring a more efficient fiscal management process.

Under this new framework, when tax payments exceed reasonable parameters, ARBA will implement automatic reductions in tax rates across various regimes. Additionally, continuous monitoring mechanisms will be activated to prevent structural accumulation of credits, thereby promoting better liquidity among SMEs and businesses. This proactive approach is aimed at minimizing excessive credits which could hinder the financial flow for small businesses.

ARBA officials emphasized that the new system is a direct response to the concerns regarding accumulated credits that do not benefit businesses. By refining the fiscal conditions under which taxes are assessed, the agency hopes to foster a healthier economic environment for small enterprises in the province. The scheme represents a significant effort to enhance tax compliance and improve overall economic activity in Buenos Aires.
