Sutt: Estonia supports reforming the CO2 trading system
Estonia's Minister of Energy and Environment, Andres Sutt, stated that Estonia has supported reforms to the EU carbon trading system prior to a recent declaration by ten EU member states advocating for changes.
Andres Sutt, Estonia's Energy and Environment Minister, has announced that Estonia supports the reform of the European Union's carbon trading system, even though it is not one of the ten EU member states that publicly called for a review. Sutt emphasized that Estonia has been advocating for these reforms for some time and mentioned that Prime Minister Kristen Michal articulated this support during an informal summit with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. This indicates that Estonia is proactive in addressing environmental issues and engaging with broader EU discussions.
