'AAP's sins are not washed away yet...,' Poster war from BJP after Kejriwal's acquittal
Following the acquittal of AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal in the excise policy case, the Delhi BJP launched a poster campaign criticizing the AAP government.
The political tension in Delhi escalated after the Rouse Avenue Court acquitted Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in connection with the excise policy case. The ruling has intensified political battles, leading the Delhi BJP to swiftly release an aggressive poster campaign targeting Kejriwal. The posters feature Kejriwal's image with the assertion that 'AAP's sins are not washed away yet', accompanied by key points challenging the court's decision and highlighting ongoing investigations.
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva emphasized that the court's decision is merely a lower court verdict, suggesting that higher judiciary scrutiny could yet reverse the ruling. He stated that there are still unresolved issues, such as the pending money laundering case, which he claims demonstrates that AAP remains entangled in several alleged scandals. Additionally, he mentioned the allegations that evidence has been destroyed during the investigations, which includes missing mobile phones and SIM cards, casting doubt on the integrity of the inquiry.
The comments from Sachdeva raise questions regarding the legitimacy of the excise policy. He pointed out the contradiction of why the policy was rolled back shortly after investigations were initiated if it was indeed sound. This ongoing political dialogue suggests that the battle between AAP and BJP will remain fierce, as both parties leverage judicial outcomes to bolster their positions and challenge each other's credibility in forthcoming elections.
