This individual emphasized that they regard Iran as a strategic depth and see any aggression towards it as a direct threat to their own existence. This reflects a deepening alliance between the Iraqi factions and Iran, especially as the regional situation continues to evolve.

The increase in military readiness by these factions comes after the Iraqi groups had remained relatively uninvolved during the direct confrontations between Israel and Iran last June. However, the quoted leader indicated that this time Iraqi factions are likely to adopt a less restrained position if U.S. strikes take on a comprehensive nature aimed at regime change in Iran, indicating a pivotal shift in their operational strategies in response to U.S. military actions.
