On Friday, Latvia's Minister of Agriculture Armands Krauze embarked on an official visit to Israel, highlighting the potential of Latvian food producers in international export markets. The visit, from February 25 to 27, involved meetings with Israeli officials, representatives from scientific institutions, and business leaders to broaden the export possibilities of Latvian products and foster closer collaboration in agriculture, food production, education, and science.

During the visit, Krauze emphasized the effectiveness of undertaking work trips with business representatives to assess export opportunities in new markets. He mentioned that establishing practical contacts on the ground is a crucial step for exploring new export markets. Krauze reiterated the goal of the Ministry of Agriculture to ensure that food produced in Latvia gains international recognition as reliable, safe, and of high quality.

Additionally, the Ministry of Agriculture pointed out that particular attention was given during the visit to the significance of the latest agricultural technologies in enhancing competitiveness. This focus reflects Latvia's commitment to positioning itself as a serious player in the global agricultural and food production sectors, which could lead to increased trade relationships between Latvia and Israel, and ultimately benefit both countries economically.
