13-Year-Old Assaulted Multiple Times - Eight Teenagers Suspected of Serious Violence
Eight teenagers aged 13 to 16 are suspected of serious assaults on a 13-year-old boy in Copenhagen.
Copenhagen Police have identified eight teenagers, aged between 13 and 16, as suspects in serious assaults on a 13-year-old boy. The incidents, which occurred in January, involved the boy being attacked first by a group of five on Nørrebro and then later that evening by three others on Frederiksberg. Police believe there is a relationship between the victim and the suspects, raising concerns about the nature of these assaults.
In a press release, Vice Police Inspector Peter Kamp expressed the police's commitment to addressing such violent incidents, stating, 'These are two particularly severe assaults on a young boy that we cannot and will not accept.' Following a coordinated investigation, police were able to detain and arrest the eight youths involved. The seriousness of the attacks highlights ongoing issues regarding youth violence in urban areas like Copenhagen.
In addition to the assault charges, three of the suspects are facing additional charges related to possession and trafficking of cocaine and MDMA, as they are above the age of criminal responsibility in Denmark. This complicates the case further, indicating a possible deeper involvement in criminal activities among the youth involved. The police investigation continues as they seek to understand the full scope of the events and ensure the safety of community members.
