Bradesco merges and lists health companies with revenue of R$ 52 billion on the stock exchange
Bradesco announced a corporate reorganization to consolidate its health businesses into a new entity called Bradsaúde, which will be listed on the stock exchange with projected revenues of R$ 52 billion.
Bradesco, one of Brazil's largest banks, has announced a significant corporate restructuring aimed at consolidating its healthcare operations into a single conglomerate known as Bradsaúde. This new entity will be listed on the Brazilian stock exchange, B3, and is projected to generate revenues of R$ 52 billion and a profit of R$ 3.6 billion based on estimates for 2025. Bradsaúde will serve approximately 13 million users and will comprise around 3,600 hospital beds and 35 clinics, highlighting the scale and ambition of this consolidation.
The restructuring will utilize the corporate framework of Odontoprev, a dental insurance company that is already publicly traded in B3’s new market. Given that Bradesco already controls Odontoprev, this move strategically positions the bank to enhance its healthcare portfolio while leveraging Odontoprev’s existing market presence. This merger not only reflects Bradesco's commitment to expanding its influence in the healthcare sector but also aims at optimizing operational efficiencies within its various health services.
Post-restructuring, Bradesco is expected to hold 91.35% of the total and voting capital of the new holding company, with the remaining 8.65% available for trading in the market. This structure could provide an opportunity for investors to engage with the health sector through a reputable financial institution like Bradesco, potentially creating an innovative model for health services financing in Brazil and positioning Bradsaúde as a significant player in the industry.
