Lukas stated that he no longer saw a problem in rejoining the faction since Kärner was removed. This development comes after Kärner made controversial comments during an online broadcast, which led to his dismissal from the faction two weeks prior.

The expulsion was confirmed by Kaspar Kokk, the chairman of the faction and the leader of the Isamaa Tartu region. Kokk explained that Kärner’s remarks demonstrated a lack of understanding regarding the responsibilities of public figures and politicians, leading to the unanimous decision among faction members to terminate their collaboration with him. Kokk expressed hope that Kärner would eventually recognize the consequences of his words.
