The Mandsaur police have solved the murder case of notorious smuggler Wahid alias Bhaiyoo Lala, with his wife Rukhsana named as the primary suspect. Following Wahid's death on February 18, Rukhsana initially claimed that dozens of police officers had brutally attacked her husband at their home, leading to his demise. However, her narrative unraveled as evidence surfaced suggesting a premeditated plan to discredit law enforcement.

The investigation revealed that Rukhsana's two brothers were involved in concealing evidence related to the murder, leading to their arrest. Meanwhile, a postmortem conducted by a panel of doctors refuted claims of police brutality, showing no signs of physical assault but confirming that Wahid had been shot in the head with a .32 caliber bullet. This revelation contradicted Rukhsana's account, marking a crucial turning point in the case as the Special Investigation Team (SIT) began to piece together the details surrounding the murder.
