"Invest in Lithuania" aims to attract 2 billion euros in capital by 2030

The agency "Invest in Lithuania" plans to attract 2 billion euros in capital investments by 2030, aiming to create around 10,000 valuable jobs in the process.

"Invest in Lithuania" has set a robust target to attract 2 billion euros in capital investment by 2030, a significant increase from the 1.1 billion euros it secured over the last five years. Agency head Elijus Čivilis noted that this ambitious goal aligns with their strategic focus on regional development, aiming to channel at least 30% of all investments into various regions throughout the country. This reflects the agency's commitment to not only boost the economy but also enhance employment opportunities across Lithuania.

In the past, the agency facilitated the creation of approximately 19,000 jobs, and for the upcoming period, they aim to generate around 10,000 new jobs that are anticipated to be of higher value. The emphasis is on creating positions that not only fill the labor market gaps but also contribute to a stronger economy. The agency’s plan goes beyond mere numbers, as they aspire to ensure that these jobs offer fair wages and sustainable work conditions.

Moreover, Čivilis pointed out the positive implications of these investments for the country’s economy, mentioning that the capital inflow will also have a significant impact on sectors such as defense. As Lithuania strives to broaden its investment horizons, the agency is committed to fostering initiatives that support local economies and businesses, indicating a long-term vision for sustainable growth and regional equity in development.
